This sign was designed by our customer herself. She sent us an image with the design she drew in coloured pencils and asked us to recreate the drawing on our largest oval house sign. Our artist has followed the customers brief very well  - compare for yourself.

The Old Bakehouse Sign

Our customer asked us to create house sign depicting a cottage loaf type bread with some wheat ears and poppies in the background for their home which was an old bakery. Our artist painted the loaf so life like we all wanted to eat it!

House Sign for 'The Cottage'

For this house sign the customer sent us an image depicting their house and front garden and asked us to create a house plaque showing their home on it. The hand painted house is a pretty good likeness of the actual property.

Woodpecker Cottage House Sign

This woodpecker cottage house name plaque was ordered by a customer who saw a similar example we made a couple of years ago. The bird is painted perched on an aged tree stump with a natural environment as a background. The font is called Century Schoolbook

Unusual House Name Sign

Our customer asked us to create this unusual house sign. She wanted a very personalised gift for a friend. The hand painted pictorial depicts some books, a cup of tea and colourful reading glasses. The books where to include Peter Rabbit, The Hobbit and To Kill a Mocking bird and one of the books where to lean against the house number. The font is called Black Chancery. We think the wording means The Small Library. The customer has ordered signs from us in the past for her own home and a few other hand painted house plaques for friend as personalised gifts.

Pidgeon house sign

Our customer asked us to paint an oval pictorial showing a wood pidgeon in flight in a blue sky. The font is called Goudy Handtooled.

House address plaque with bespoke squirrel pictorial

Our  customer asked us to create this pictorial house sign showing a red squirrel nibbling an acorn. The customer sent us an image they took of the squirrel which had a soft background focus and our artist pretty much copied this effect as the background on this house sign.

Red Squirrel house signs

Our customer asked us to create a house sign with a red squirrel sitting on an oak tree branch sideways eating an acorn. This is quite a popular theme. We paint more red squirrels than grey squirrels. Here on the Isle of Wight we have only red squirrels.

Our customer from USA asked us to create a house sign for them depicting a Scottish Thistle. The font is called Ardagh which is a gaelic/celtic style font

Lilac Cottage house name plaque

Our customer saw an example of a house sign we made about 5 years ago depicting lilac flowers and foliage with the same house name,,'Lilac Cottage' . the customer asked us to paint the same pictorial for their sign including the same house name and font.

Our customer asked us to create house sign depicting three different species of butterflies flying over lavender for their new home. They liked it so much they have just commissioned two more signs with three different species on each sign - that makes nine species of butterflies on three signs on their home! Quite apt for the house name Butterfly Barn.
