Our customer located in the USA asked for a heron standing in water with reeds in the background. She saw a similar house sign painted by our artist Jean Ellams a few years ago. This one was painted by Ivan Brenton. The font is called Tiffany Bold

Red Breasted Robin house name sign

For this house name sign our customer asked us to paint a robin perched on a branch of pine with pine cones. The robin bird is quite a popular pictorial asked for by our UK customers - each pictorial we paint is different, even if a cutomer sees a design somewhere on our website and asks for that particular design, we individually hand paint the pictorial to fit withing the dimensions of the base plaque and lettering.

Our customer located in the USA asked us to create a house name plaque showing a botanical pictorial of flowers and leaves of the catalpa tree. Our customer who is a Newcastle United football team fan asked us to create this house sign for him - it depicts TWO magpies for Joy. Painted on our large rustic slate oval measuring 13.5 inches by 9.5 inches. The font is called Tiffany bold. The birds where painted by Ivan Brenton.

Our customer located in the USA asked for a fathers day gift to be made showing a pictorial of a fox surrounded by woodland on this 14.5 inch by 10 inch classic oval. She asked for the word 'FoxHollow' to be written just like this in Goudy Handtooled font and we made the sign with fixing holes at the top for hanging on chains.

French House Name Sign with Kestrels

Our customer located on the Island of Alderney - one of the Channel Islands, asked us to create a house name sign showing a pair of Kestrels in flight. The house name means 'the kestrels' in french. Painted by house sign artist Ivan Brenton. We all think Ivan has excelled himself on painting the birds this plaque - the detail of the feathers is quite outstanding - to take a closer look, click on the sign. This one will probably be a 'House Sign of the Month' in the showcase on our main website.

Ammended House Sign with Castle

Our customer ordered a house sign depicting 'Helm's Deep' the castle and ramparts from Lord of the Rings with the house name and number on the plaque. We made the sign but forgot to add the house number - a mistake on my part. So once our cutomer pointed the omission out to us we asked him to send it back so we can make an alteration to the painting to accomodate the number 40 at the top. - You can see the original house sign we sent out just a few images below......

Our customer sent us a rough layout drawing by email showing the layout she wanted with the half moon and stars. The font is called Bernhart Modern. Painted by house sign artist Rosemary Hitchman.

Cottage House Sign with Male Pheasant

Our customer saw a previous example of a male pheasant painted on a house plaque and asked us to make her one with a similar pictorial. The font is called Century Schoolbook. We made the N02 in a traditional layout with a small 'o' at alligned to the top of the 'N' and underlined. The pheasant was painted by Ivan Brenton - he is brillant at painting birds!
